One of the most renowned sneaker customizers in the business, SBTG known as Mark Ong, is surprisingly down-to-earth and it is evident that he has grown wiser from his years of experience. Although designing and hand-sewing shoes is the biggest passion of his life, SBTG did not earn his title by chance. He tells us of his self-discipline learnt from starting his own flourishing business and his route to self-discovery – all stemming from the time he picked up the skateboard.

Teng is a visual artist whose clean lines and typography blow fresh air into the local art scene, and it’s no wonder with pieces like these spotted at Zirca’s Shapeshifters event. Blending unique graphics with an element of quirk, she aims to keep her work eye-catching, attractive and intriguing in terms of not only technique but the whole concept. Fresh.
Lim Si Ping (otherwise known as Pixel Pastry) is a Singapore-based designer who, undoubtedly, produces some of the most mind-blowing work one can set their eyes on. MER.T.GER (pictured) was her installation piece for Tiger Translate in ’08 (Energy) which sees the merge between Singapore’s iconic merlion with the alcoholic beverage’s tiger.
The woman is so talented, she is accredited by Lürzer’s Archive as one of the 200 best illustrators worldwide- a fine example of an artist who is able to embrace the many mediums of art and do a damn good job at that. Check out more of her work at www.pixel-pastry.com.
Cove Red performs an exclusive acoustic version of their song ‘Taste of Life‘ for S-Indie TV and I must say it is one of the most beautiful tracks with the sweetest voices that could sing it- a duo consisting of lead singer Rachael Teo and multi-instrumentalist Su Yin Koh.
