MAD AS HATTERS: GREEN SCREAM (12 FEB)
Tech-house and electro will be the magic ingredient to bring in the music-lovers to Supperclub, as the boys behind DJ collective Mad As Hatters attempt to make a change to the usual crap played in clubs. Though relatively new after a little more than half a year, the collective has received much praise ever since their debut Mad As Hatters Night at Homeclub. The collective consists of DJs Kazly, Hann, Sham and Siva (check out his interview here), who each have spun at venues both locally and abroad.
Need a little convincing? Why not get a taste of what to expect by downloading DJ Siva’s mix here.
More about the DJ’s:
DJ Kazly
Having spun at clubs in Indonesia and in Singapore, DJ Kazly has proven that he has the goods to deliver. An artist behind the decks, DJ Kazly aims to showcase a bit of his soul through the beats of dance music.
Born into a family with a reputable history of music, Kazly has been exposed and inuenced greatly by his musician relatives. Having a knack for music, he started exploring various genres and has since never looked back.
DJ HANN
Having spun extensively in Singapore, DJ Hann has left his trails burning with a host of successful gigs. Drawing from house, tech-house, soul, deep-house, electro and progressive, DJ Hann gets ready to dish out another set of all rocking beats.
What started off as a simple love for collecting house vinyl records eventually evolved into a passion for deejaying. With the help of a book, DJ Hann taught himself the art of the decks with help from local DJ gurus.
DJ SHAM
A genius behind the decks of the electronic world, resourceful and innovative, DJ Sham has always been at the forefront of the cutting-edge and state-of-the-art. A musically inclined child, DJ Sham has always been on stage, basking yet ever-learning, a perfectionist at heart and ultimately a devil on the decks. His beats spin and sizzle, hypnotizing even the most jaded of clubbers.
DJ SIVA
Drawing inuences from the likes of Laidback Luke, Mark Knight, Sander Van Doorn, Eric Prydz and our very own tech-monster Aldrin of Zouk Singapore, Sivanesh has been DJing for about three years now and has played out quite a bit, most recently alongside his RockHerAtTheDance-floor collective at Home Club in November 2009 and the Nike sponsored ‘Killa Balla’ free-style competition held at the cage alongside DJ Neboet.
Constantly expanding his record box and exploring different sounds to weave in between the various styles of electronic dance music, one will never know what to expect next…be it house or electro, techno or nu-rave. ‘I know what the people on the floor want because really…deep down inside, I am still a clubber at heart! I just want to make everybody go mental. My music is all about the love, rhythm and sound!’
